In the past three years, our industry and our world have undergone significant changes. As computer and software developers respond to economic and technological forces, our profession is experiencing change as well. Close to half of the respondents indicated their organizations were experiencing no salary increases, budget cuts, and increased workload. Over a third have experienced permanent staff layoffs. These numbers are almost identical to those in last year's survey. The business climate does not appear to have changed for the better.
