recently announced SmartDocs 2.0 to benefit technical writers, medical writers, legal writers, proposal writers and other professionals who work with repetitive content in Microsoft Word.
Pietrangeli, who is based in Rochester, N.Y., said writers face several challenges when creating business content like user manuals, maintenance manuals, clinical reports, training materials and sales proposals. "These challenges, when handled without any control or management, make it difficult or impossible to maintain and update this content over time," she said. "SmartDocs 2.0 allows writers to manage and reuse their Microsoft Word content through powerful tracking, searching, managing and sharing capabilities. ThirtySix Software created this latest release of SmartDocs not only to support the latest Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010, but also to create a collaborative authoring environment for users.

"SmartDocs 2.0 integrates with existing processes and infrastructure, unlike other complex and costly products used today," she said. "It is easy to set up and doesn't require massive document or content conversion because it integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Word. Users can stay in that familiar environment, which reduces the learning curve and increases productivity."
