TOKYO - September 17, 2008 - Antenna House announced the latest release of its Rainbow PDF Server-Based Converter, Version 2.0, for immediate distribution. Much like rail systems that deliver freight using multiple tracks, IT integrators often rely on dependable "switches" to process vital documents and to deliver them in usable formats over Intranets, Internets, and most recently through radio to hand-held devices.

Release 2.0 of the high-speed Rainbow PDF Server-Based Converter now enables users to easily convert Microsoft 2007 documents to PDF and SVG in addition to a variety of other previously supported formats. This can be done either in a batch operation or on the fly, thereby introducing a vital new connection "switch" in a comprehensive document-delivery infrastructure.

Although converting to PDF has become a dominant need of IT departments, delivering office documents in SVG format for transmission to cell phones and other hand-held devices (where Internet access is unavailable) is also growing in importance.

The Rainbow PDF Server-Based Converter enables IT departments to realize significant time savings both by allowing them to manage software in a centralized location, and by performing high-speed conversions entirely within their own rendering engine. This means there is no longer a need to run Microsoft or Adobe applications in the network in order to convert documents to PDF. As a result, an organization can realize tremendous savings in licensing fees alone!

From a strained IT resource standpoint, the flexibility to operate on a Microsoft, Linux, or Solaris platform with a variety of APIs available significantly reduces the development time necessary to get reliable conversion capabilities integrated into a document-management system or a web-service offering.

The company's XML conversion engine, XSL Formatter, is the leading software used to render structured data for print, PDF, and so on. Thus, the Rainbow PDF Server-Based Converter is a direct result and illustration of the company's expertise in these very complex conversions.
